Amazon safety message on Howard Leight Impact Sports

Amazon has messaged me of the Howard Leight Impact Sports order I received from Nov. saying that they're refunding the purchase and they product should not be used.

I verified the message by contacting customer service through Amazon.

If you purchased this product online for ~$35 any time in the past 4 months I advise contacting the seller.

Wonder if it was counterfeit merchandise? That would be a bad thing for safety equipment.

Yes, it was counterfeit.

Coil spring battery contacts are an instant indicator of the counterfeits.
