Hi All.............

Just a quick question out of curiousity as I am thinking of trying some myself: Anyone have any experiences with running the "American" pistol ammo (from Natchez) through your weapons?

At a case price of 5.99...........it's hard to beat. I spoke with my local gun shop and they said they haven't had or heard of any problems with the pistol ammo, but DO NOT use the .223 ammo because it "doesn't go into the target straight"..........which I have heard called and use the term myself "tumbling".

For some unknown reason, the bulltet enters the target end over end instead of as a normal projectile.

Anyone heard or experienced anything similar or have the reviews been positive? I'd like to pick up some of the .45 acp and .40 s+w.

Thanks much.

Also on their site on their press release, they bought assets of Triton...very interesting, I liked their ammo.

I have shot just under 1000 rounds in .45 and aside from a very bad smell I have had few problems. I think 1 ftf and that was about it. I have heard, through the 1911 forum that some others have had problems. I'm thinking about ordering another 1000 for use in my revolvers.

Oh geeze. You may be the lucky few who had a good batch of the stuff, but every one else on every other messageboard has had some trouble with the stuff.

jeez, next time i'll search the forum first before ordering large amounts of ammo. Hopefully Natchez can stop the shipment in time.

Sorry I didn't see this sooner! :(

My experiences with American Ammunition are uniformly POOR. They use substandard brass ... had multiple jammed cases (meaning the case was weak so upon firing the extractor could not pull the spent brass out of the chamber).

Also, their CCC ammo "jacketing" is rather deceptive in that it's copper coated, not jacketed ... hardly enough to do much of anything except look pretty if you ask me.

I won't buy AA ammo again.

American Ammo is craptacular.

I had a good laugh at the expense of a friend who bought a large amount without trying it first. Let's just say that accuracy is going to be the least of your worries. ;)

Natchez has corrected the typo on their site that labeled it as IMI and thankfully they are going to take back the 3000 rounds I bought. Good thing too hehe (hell I bought $1000 worth of goods from them in less than a week they better have good customer service lol).

I replaced it with 1500 rounds of winchester q3131A and 1500 rounds of Federal American Eagle.
