Hey, long time no post here, I was wondering if anyone knows of any website where I can get pictures of American-made Mosin-Nagants, such as the ones by Remington or Westinghouse. I know Oleg has a couple, but I was more looking for just the rifle.
They bring the inherent beauty of the Mosin to a whole new level for me.
I've "briefly" searched the 'Net for pictures, and I can't find any, at least not in the resolution I want. If you post a pic, could I get links for a high-res version?
    Thanks much,
    -Nolo

American Mosins are actually fairly dull looking. The Russian inspectors at Remington, I know for sure, were adamant that any rifle with irregularities in the stock grain was not acceptable, and so most of the walnut's boring. Nothing like a mottled Finn birch stock, at least.

Oh, contrare, my friend. The Finn Mosins, while beautiful (and tack-drivers) do not seem to catch the old-school beauty and, shall I say, panache of the American Mosins. I really find them to be something special.
