I was on the Samco website a few minutes ago and I see that they still have a bunch of ammo in stock, 9mm, 8mm Mauser, 30-06 and some oddballs. This must be a true testiment to the quality of their ammo!

I still want one of those 8mm Crates with the Arabic writing on it, though.

    Edited to add: https://samcoglobal.com/ammo-menu.html

I already bought that crummy Pakistani surplus 9mm from Sportsmans Guide a few years back and I have learned my lesson!

The 8mm and 30-06 surplus are both iranian/persian and are of questionable quality. Lots of duds, hangfires, splits, and general chaos involved.

If memory serves the 9mm they have is built for submachine guns and won't function well in pistols.

That POF 9mm is real bad, i had some once from sportsmansguide, it was pathetic.& that S & B 308 is corrosive.

That 9mm is British Mk 2Z spec.
    High power subgun ammo.
Great for foreign wonder 9's (CZ75, 92FS), not great for pocket pistols or older 9mms.
Unless you like kabooms. Then its REALLY good.

Probably does no good now but I happened to be in DFW this morning and they were loaded with Israeli made Independence 5.56 at Bass Pro for right at $10 bucks a box of 20 (limit 10 per person). But the minute I found it, everyone around me got on their cell phones and called their buds. The shelves were bare within about an hour. A couple of employees said it was cool to buy ten and tak'em to your truck and come back for another load if I wanted.... Several people did. I got what I needed so I'm happy. More interested in stocking up on brass and reloading components than ammo.

Hope this doesn't happen with toilet paper anytime soon....
