Ammo stored two (?) months or far less, in car trunk.

Ever been in a warzone? Conditions that make your trunk look like a luxury hotel and no problems at all.

This actually reminds me of some ammunition that I found a couple years ago in an old storage building on my parents' property. It was Remington 45 ACP in a box old enough that I didn't recognize the design, so I'm guessing at least 90's if not older. The shells themselves were full of crusty green tarnish of some sort. I guess its understandable since they were sitting in a non-insulated wooden building about 5 feet from a window that had been busted out at least 10 years earlier. A friend of mine recommended that we see if they still functioned and I figured what the hell. We might as well. It was around two-thirds of a box and every one of them fired on the first try through a Rock Island 1911. They pretty much would not cycle on their own at all, but they still fired once they were in the chamber.

As promised, here's the result of my completely unscientific test last night. The brand was ZQ1, made in Turkey, 123 grain FMJ out of a G17.
The ammo has been in my car since 2016, by my best guess, and around here we get real hot and humid summers and winters can get nasty. Temp last night was a balmy 17 degrees when I pulled it out and went inside. I saw condensation on them when I loaded up, but couldn't get a decent pic.
50 rounds, zero failures and any deficiency in accuracy is on me, because I haven't shot my Glock in seven or eight months now. IMG_20190113_192519.jpg IMG_20190113_205546.jpg
