Ammo suggestion

Tomorrow I am heading out for supplies (Im north of Tampa) and one thing I intend to get is some ammo.

I have 30-30 ammo so im not worried about the rifle ammo. But I have my choice of two handgun's. The .38 special which normally I'd choose, but it has some problems that I don't trust it if SHTF. So I am left with the Mauser 7.65

So in .32 ACP what type of ammo would you suggest? I would think hollowpoint's?

Will the GD will run reliably in your pistol... well...?? Testing is called for.
