Ammunition is gone for good.

Dude, relax. PM me and I'll sell you from friggen 9mm brass lol.
I can spare some, and I know a guy in VA BCH who is rolling in the stuff.

Today I got a new melter, molds, a LB of Bullseye and a LB or Reloader7

Glad you guys are having good luck finding ammo. I have not been able to find anything at all, online or local. 9mm and .22LR are completely sold-out everywhere I have looked, and when in the off-chance that you do find a brick of .22LR, you can expect to pay $149+ for it.

BoltActionPrepper ... Your name implies you should not be very worried about this matter......

But, with that said it is available...really!

Keep Calm and Carry On Dude! :D

I just posted a thread on this. The gun stores haven't gone, they've just relocated to our basements.

And seriously, you just need to shift your shooting over a bit. I'm focusing more on the smoke poles and comblock since I have lots of Goex and about 3,000 rounds of 54R and 5.45--both of which are still in abundance even around here.

Cast bullet supplies should be back up to speed first, followed by jacketed bullets and eventually complete ammo. There are just too many piglets for the teats, as Lincoln said.

NO components are available. Absolutely NONE. NO 9mm brass. NO bullets. NO powder. NO primers. A case of 5.56 ammo is $900.00 when you can find it. The FED has deprived us of the use of our guns, thus effectively "banning" them. "They" have won. Ammo availability and reasonable pricing is a thing of the past. The good ol' days are over. Expect the FEMA trucks soon enough.... And yes, i'm being dead serious :banghead:

I'll sell you a case for $800. Shipped in the lower 48.

I just put 400 .223 for sale on GB with a buy it now of under .50 a round with some freebies.

Last week I received a 1,200 round case of IMI M193 at a cost of $700 shipped. That's $0.585 per round, or the equal of a $585 case of 1k.

A week before that I got 1,000 PMC XP193 for $445 shipped.

In February I got 1,000 Prvi Partizan M193 for $400.

Back in like Jan or early Feb I got 2,000 Federal XM855 for at $0.62 per round, shipped.

5.56 is not $900 if you know where to look and keep an eye out.

Even on Gunbroker you can currently get M193 for about $580-$625 per 1,000.

Yes, I know all of those prices such. They they sure aren't $900 a case, and they have been trending down.

It will take time to correct. I personally am hoping for $400 shipped XM193 readily available by Christmas. That's my wager. But it might not happen till next spring? Who knows.

Ammo is showing up. One local store even has a box full of Pmags on the counter for sale. This shop tells me that people are already coming in trying to sell the ARs they bought for $2K for that kind of money now.

I broke down and bought 1000 .223 rounds the other day from these guys for $545. I don't think prices are going to go back to where they were a year ago and I don't think there will be plentiful supply for perhaps another year. I wanted enough ammo to attend some classes and continue to train and practice with my guns.

I was lucky enough to pick up 650 rounds of 9mm yesterday between a Wal Mart, and another local store. My brother inlaw was with me and picked up 300 rounds of 45 auto, and 250 rounds of 9mm, also 300 rounds of 40 cal. He is stocked up way more than I am. I just ordered a 9mm XDm, my first handgun, so I am new to the pistol ammo buying frenzy. I am quite sure the 650 rounds I got will disappear rather quickly, so I am going to have to keep looking for more. lol The sad part was we missed out on some .22 ammo by just an hour or so, the Wal-Mart had 2 1k boxes, and 20 555 round boxes on the shelf not too long before we got there according to the woman checking us out.

It's a distribution thing. We have been dry, and I mean DRY for months. But in the last two weeks things started breaking free. People turning down name brand brass 9mm at $16.99, price too high. Even the gun show had some decent ammo prices.

You're right.
There is no 9mm brass anywhere.
I've been shooting for a little over 2 years yet I've been able to find enough 9mm brass to last me a lifetime.
Unless you have bought your first gun in the last 5 months its your own fault if you don't have 9mm brass.

My LGS has 9mm for $17 or $18 dollars for a box of 50 FMJ. I decided to pass on it, too steep for me.

I remember when you could get a box for 9 bucks before Obummer got elected... 100% increase

@bsctov, sign up for notifications at Midway USA. Also try a sight called www.slickdeals.net . You just have to type ammo in the search box. I just bought 5k rounds of SK/Lapua .22lr from Graf & Sons. I paid $458 (I know that sounds like a lot, but it is good quality ammo)for 5k rounds. It is good ammo too. The wife picked up two bricks of Federal Target ($39.99 +shipping each)from Midway. She bought hem for her dad. The ammo is there, you just need to search constantly. I was getting dangerously low on .22, but refused to pay $65-75 for a brick Thunderbolts or Wildcats.....

9mm brass is usually more plentiful on the ground than cigarette butts. Lord knows I've picked up thousands of them, and .40's too.

Well, there is almost nothing here on my island in South East Alaska. Even the expensive crap is disappearing off the shelves. When something does show up it isn't very much. And driving down the road don't work as there is no road. Can't shop online because you can't get ground shipping as everything is flown in. Only .22 in stock in Walmart was 23 boxes of .22short and 13 boxes of .22 shot. And they limit you to 3 boxes of ammo per customer per day total. And all 3 LGSs look the same. Ah, whoever said the island life is the lifre for me never tried to buy ammo or components while living on an island...

Yup! I completely agree.

Might as well cash in the chips now.

I'm putting the house up for sale.. putting everything up for sale and buying a deluxe igloo and going to live with the Eskimos up in the North Pole. :D

Things look pretty dry around here. Sportsman's Warehouse didn't even get their weekly ammo shipment the last time I went in.

No idea about Cabela's or Bass Pro, though. It's a lousy drive.

I drive the 5 NE New England states for my work on a monthly basis. I've learned where all the LGS are along my route. I stop by all of them once a month when I am near by. Some are so rural you need a hound to find them and some are big box stores in small cities and towns.

The shelves were empty from Sandy Hook until about a month ago. In the last month I've seen ammo return with limits. Not all brands, not all calibers at once and no .22LR but the other day I could have purchased .32ACP, .380ACP, 9mm, .40S&W, .45ACP, .38Special, 9mm Mak and some popular rifle rounds. Powder has begun to show up again but like ammo, not all brands at once. In the last month I've found 2000 SPP and 2# of Bullseye (all I needed, not all I saw). Primers and .22LR are the hardest to find. Reloading dies have come back but the 9mm Luger and .45ACP dies are scarce (I don't need any dies).

My point is, the stuff is out there, unlike 2 months ago. It's slowly coming back. Prices are higher; $29.99 for 9mm ammo that used to cost $16, $39.99 .45ACP for brand name ball ammo, etc. If you want it, it will cost you but it is there if you have to have it. 3 months from now it should be a lot better as the supply catches up with the demand and the resellers lose their market.

I bought 15000 bullets I got 25000 primers I bought 20 buckets full of brass no wonder the other guy cant find anything lol
