High Noon reintroduces the bullet keyring, and to my eternal shame, I THOUGHT I had already posted this, dagnabbit. My bad. But, with no further delay;

The new High Noon bullet key chains come in three monster flavors, 44 mag, 454 Casull and Smith and Wesson 500 - these can practically be used as kubotans! If you swing your keys at an attacker as a last ditch weapon, these will get noticed!

...that was the last i saw of it, as my wife, the keychain collector, snagged that one right away. She loves it. A very good looking and well made item, plus one thing I noticed I never saw on the older ones - the case is properly crimped. Someone who knows ammo made this one.

I saw them in all sorts of calibers at the county fair a couple months ago. They didn't have 7.62x54r, I was bummed. 9mm, .45 acp, 7.62x39 were the one's I instantly recognized.

I actually make earrings and keychains out of the casings I can get ahold of, I've been selling them for 5$ a pair of earrings and 3$ a keychain, but these look a bit cooler, but mine are cheaper lol

Remember shotgun belts? It was a leather belt with a shotgun brass end sort of riveted into it, near the buckle. Kids used to put the ends in their penny loafers,too.

Somebody mentioned a "shotgun belt". It sounds kind of like the belt I'm wearing right now. Made by Browning, got it at Bass Pro, very nice, thick, and sturdy belt and it has a decoration up near the buckle that looks like the end of a shotgun shell. A holster hangs off of it just fine at the range too!

In the 60s & 70s they had bullet... umm... "clips."

The bullet pulled out of the case & there was a handy alligator clip attached for whatever sort of use one would imagine.

I would never hang a hunk of lead on a keyring. Weight hanging from the ignition switch will shorten it's life significantly, especially on a motorcycle.

They also tend not to wear well. Brass and copper are relatively soft metals, and scratch up fairly quickly. Also, they tend to tarnish pretty quick as well. If the keychains have a clear laquer coat, it will slow down wear a little, but the problem still remains. The ones above don't seem to have it.

I would never hang a hunk of lead on a keyring.

I'm not into lead keychain weights either.

Don't know if I would buy one of these (not my style & the airport reason), but I would not hesitate to buy another High Noon holster. I've been using the same IWB for my J-frame for the last 7 years. They make quality holsters at a reasonable price.

I wouldn't buy one, but I used to make them. A few years back I made up several cartridge key rings for friends and family. I used a variety of cartridges, from 30-06 and 30-30, to .45 acp and .39 spl. I just made them up as gifts and novelty items, and copied the idea from one I had as a college student. Don't remember how I came across that one, just that I carried it through most of college.

I also remember hearing abut the NRA giving them out an event or two. I believe theirs were engraved.

If anyone is or was or knows anything about US military snipers is that when they pass sniper school they receive the "hog tooth" and you can buy those on line too, there a .308 bullet on a parachute cord necklace. But if i got one of those key chains i got to go with a 500 SW.

I had one of those. If I dug deep enough into an old foot locker in the garage, I may still have it....
