I bought one for $800 and had it shipped to me by a co-worker in Japan several years ago, as a birthday present for one of my brothers.

Now...how much of that was actually "handmade"? Probably blurred that line with machine hammer forging, I'm assuming.

From there, it skyrockets rapidly into a fat five figures.
