you may want to consider wearing it on your left leg if you are right handed (gun to your inside-makes driving more compfortable & drawing eaiser all around). and be real careful reaching for things up high when shopping-learn to use your opposit arm. good luck. downside to an ankle rig is you have to pull up you pants leg (1 hand) while the other hand draws except when seated, this requires practice. upside is, any packages in your hands can be

hearled at the BG's as you squat to draw & use your left arm to protect your neck/face as you engage them.fall on your back & use you legs to fend them off. NOT recommended to shot own legs. consider trading for a 642 asap....less chance of snag & more laywer friendly & BG less likely to jam the action with his hand.

No worries, 442 has covered hammer as well:

Wear black socks no matter what color pants you are wearing so that it blends in. If spotted, be prepared with an, "oh that, just an ankle brace for some sore tendons..." excuse. It's what I wore in a gun-unfriendly work environment for a long time...

ditto the left leg carry.

The darn thing has been on my leg for over an hour now...
So how long does it take to get used to it

I have used the Apache quite a bit over the years. I like this holster when I need to be as discreet as possible (ie like carrying a gun at work without getting caught)

I sit corrected, hammer is concelled. to get use to it............you probably (unless situation requires it) never will. s o r r y : I use a P3At w/ leather wallet type wrap: aids accuracy... for 'Causual" wear front right pocket...no print & 8 rounds of 380 .......not what i would go into a in a gun fight with but to walk the dogs it is bettter than butter knives.

Getting used to a ankle holster is measured in days, not hours. The holster is much more comfortable if you wear socks under it. Don't give up.

When you sit down, put your hand on your left knee to prevent the pants riding up.

I do not recommend ankle carry for an environment in which the consequences of being made are severe. Almost inevitably someone is going to spot it.

I like ankle carry in long pants weather, but you do have to get used to it, and remember that it's there. You can't forget about it, sit down and cross your legs.
