Local shop took in a collection and this was my pick of the litter. The rest were Italian guns with three click contraptions, a .357 Vaquero and two Colt SAA's that I refuse to pay the tariff on. Got this one for $200. Gonna shoot it later this week and take some group shots. I now have factory aged Uberti's in every barrel length. A 3¾", 4¾", 5½" and two 7½" guns. All .45's and one .44 Special. May do some grip swapping too, stay tuned.

those Uberti Red grips are like wearing blue jeans to church.

as for Colt SAA, a Gen 3 nickel 4” something came into my shop. looks good, but not $1900 good. I’m sure it will sell fast

Heck, I’d probably buy a truly aged one for $200. 😆

I actually like the red grips. I like checkering though.

That’s an insane deal. Anyone NOT buying that for $200 should have to surrender their honorary fraternity/sorority of shooters’ card immediately. Unlike my Colts, that’s one I’d actually carry and love every minute of it. Are you working on a holster for it already?

" Now listen hear partner ... nice score, but stop pattin' your back and git your behind out in dem fields and woods to put some honest patina on it, git it?"

More like wearing Sunday slacks to dig ditches. I love that "gun in the raw", but it is over-dressed with those stocks. Just sand the finish off, add some darker stain like walnut then wax them really good. After a day of shooting, sand again and apply more stain and wax them again. They'll take a patina of a well-worn set of grips and match that gun perfectly.

Still working on these:

I antique or age or distress my grips on this type of gun also. Strip the finish, apply some ebony water-based stain, ding them up a bit with tools, wipe off the stain, and then apply walnut stain or whatever other color you want, followed by some wax. Works really well and looks legit.

good look!

I just took delivery of a new (Cimarron imported) Model P convertible in .45C/45ACP and can't believe the quality and appearance for the money. If it shoots half as good as it looks and feels, we are in the salad times for single actions, people! I'll know more soon, waiting on a shipment of 250Gr Coated LRN so I can start the process.
