My KT PF9 finally came in Tuesday, although I may have to end up buying another one!! ;)

The box was no sooner on the bed when Mrs Denfoote was opening it, extracting the contents, and trying it out for fit!!

She also mentioned something about it being thin and cute!! :what:

This does not portend well for me keeping the gun!!! :scrutiny:

There was no time to take it to the range. That will happen today or tomorrow.

I like mine quite a bit. Not real fun to shoot though I'm sad to say. :(

Fits perfectly in an Uncle Mike's #3 pocket holster.

Do let me know how you like your pf9 denfoote, I was thinking about having my wife try this gun out to see if she likes it.

Thernlund, why do you say its not fun to shoot? Because its light weight and the recoil is noticeable?

Mulliganpaintdee,

All of the qualities that make the PF-9 such a wonderful carry gun work against it as a shooter (though mine is a great shooter). It is lightweight, thin, and small, and when you send a 9mm down-range, you definitely feel it. Now it is not as bad as a lightweight snubby revolver, in my opinion, but eventually your shooting hand will shake like you have the palsy. For me, 50 rounds and I can't work my computer mouse for the rest of the day. And I am not particularly sensitive to recoil.

But it is not made to be a frequent shooter or target weapon. It is made to carry on your person every waking moment. And for that purpose, it is about as good as it gets.

Short and sweet range report.

Wallyworld Winchester White Box, 115gr hardball, 100 count.

100 pulls of the trigger, 100 gobangs!!

The trigger in this gun is sweet, which is surprising for a Kel-Tec!! :what:

I found out, real quick, why KT packed the pinky extension with the gun!!
It improves control 100%!!!
I was wise of to order extensions with the two mags. They were installed haste post haste!!
People were right on. This is NOT a fun gun to shoot!! The recoil is quite fierce!!!! :what:
I was out in the desert blasting away at things that already had holes in them (no cactus's were harmed) so I could not really test the accuracy.
But that was not the point of the trip.
The purpose was to test the functionality of the gun, which it passed with flying colors!!!
Perhaps tomorrow I'll get up to a "proper" range and do some accuracy tests.
I like it!! :D

Scottsdale Gun Club. They just happen to have one when I was in the mood. Cha-ching!

Yeah OK.
I live in Buckeye and with the price of gas, I'm not inclined to drive all the way to Snotsdale!!!
If I still lived there, it would be a different story!!
It took me all of three hours, through rush hour traffic, to drive into 27th ave and Weldon to pick mine up from Magnum Precision!!

Boar hunter is spot on!!

I managed to get 100 rounds through it, but at the end, there was a distinct stinging sensation in my shooting hand. I've likened the recoil to shooting the Smith 340PD. Let's say, there aren't going to be many +P rounds launched through this gun!!

You can have your wife try it, but my instinct is she will not like it unless she is used to firing high powered handguns.
A Hogue Handall Jr might help.
I've already tried the full size Handall, and it does not fit. I might pick up one on my way to the range.
