Another pawn shop find

This is a small one but I’m really happy about it. Paid 1 dollar at a pawn shop in south east Kentucky. I wonder how old they are?? Looks like foil on the inside part where it’s normally red.

Years ago, during the last time cap supplies dried up, I bought 3 100 count tins of antique caps at a gunshow fot $20. They had a tape seal around the tin boxes. I don't remember the brand. The very next day, I walked into a gunshop and they had Remington #10s at $4 something. I pulled every package off the peg. I asked if they had a limit on number they would sale. No, that's what they are here for. I asked if they had more. No, that was it.

I never opened the antique caps. I took them in a gunshop that stocked a lot of antique guns and traded them for a nice pocket knife. He used them in his displays and box sets of cap guns.

I received an unfired TC Hawken from the original owner that he said he purchased in 1980 or 81. It came with a tin of the same caps that he purchased at the same time. So 1980 at least.

Somewhere between 1967, when Omark bought the CCI brand from Dick Speers and 1985 when Omark was bought out.

I still have a tin like that, empty though. The price sticker on the bottom shows that I bought them at Ace Hardware for $1.66, in 1980.
