Does anyone know the strength of these actions? What it is?
I have been told that a 1432 (or was it 1732?) was chambered in 222. The 14xx series are supposed to be the 'budget' model 22lr's. I have a budget model and there is no resemblance.
I get best accuracy and performance using heavy bullets at fairly high pressures (hopefully not exceeding SAAMI pressure). I did not get case elongation until I used the wrong bullet/powder combo. Even then, there were no other signs of excess pressure but the primer was less rounded at the edges than I am comfortable with. (All remaining 'hot' loads have been dismantled).
Regards
Peter
