Anschutz imported by C.I.L.

I'm trying to find the model number of my grandfather's CIL imported Anschutz. It's very close in dimensions to a Anschutz 1416 barreled action, has a straight bolt handle with only a little angle towards the rear, takes 1416 magazines, has a hooded front sight, and a fairly rudimentary "u" notch rear sight, and is, of course, a 22lr. The stock is monte carlo style comb, with an interesting almost rebated target style forend (not sure of the term for that). Anyway, the "top" of the forend tip is further from the muzzle than the bottom of the forend tip. The receiver is dovetailed for a scope.
It was imported by Canadian Industries Limited, presumably in the 60's or 70's. Any idea what model number it could be? I'm somewhat curious of the value as well.

The only Anschutz, that is listed under Trade Names, and imported by C.I.L. is the Anschutz mod 520/61. that would fall into the era you have mentioned.

I also show a "CIL 125" that was basically an Anschutz model 184 according to the gun parts brand name/house brand conversion table. I'd bet it's one of these, but I couldn't find any pictures of them online to confirm my suspicions.

Got a CIL (Canadian Industries Limited of Montreal ) Anschutz

Mine's a "Model 3000" which is listed in US catalogs as the Model 525, Anschutz' one and only autoloader. Good little gun. It looks like CIL had their own model #'s for their Anschutz imports...Just an FYI - if Your Canadian import _looks_ like a US model rifle, chances are it is!

Sounds like a C-I-L Model 310 to me. Is the barrel scooped out for the rear sight elevator?

It's dovetailed for a cheap stamped elevator and rear sight assembly.
Got any pictures of the 310? I'd know it on sight.

If this page from the 1967 catalogue comes through, you should be able to tell if its a 125 or a 310 by the bolt handle. The 310's stock should be checkered. That forend style is a Weatherby copy and was popular back then. The 1971 catalogue shows a schnabel forend on the 310, not on the 125. A 310 should have C-I-L in an oval, and Model and 310 stamped on top of the receiver ring, vertically. I mean, if you hold the gun muzzle up, the marks are right side up for reading, in 3 lines. "Made by J.G.Anschutz..... " is stamped on the left side of the action.

Anschutz .22 caliber

I have been redoing an older house in Halifax Nova Scotia and was fortunate to find 2 rifles and a shotgun in the rafters. I can't seem to find anything on them. Can anybody help.

Anschutz .22 cal long rifle. Canadian Industries Ltd. Model 470.
Serial #037783.

Saxton or Saxto11 double barrel-side by side (Elmer Fudd gun). Belgum. Laminated Steel. The interchangeable.

The Lee Enfield is a standard issue military bolt action from 1917 I think. Serial # 34747

Any Help would be appreciated.

The C-I-L 470 was listed in the 1971 catalogue.

Your shotgun sounds like one of the numerous label guns by Janssen. I've seen "the Interchangeable" label on Neumann Bros. guns too. The Janssen & Sons guns are plain jane old doubles with no redeeming features. The Neumann Bros. is a bit better with engraving and Greener cross-bolt. A pin sticks out of the left side of the receiver when you open the action. It also has locking notches on both underlugs. I'd rate them as better than junk, but still not safe to shoot with modern ammunition. Dates to about 1900.

The Lee-Enfield probably still is a shooter, but get it checked out by a gunsmith. There's lots of information on them on the web. Try starting here.

Anschutz C-I-L Model 310

Hello..

I'm new to this forum and was hoping someone might help me locate a magazine for my rifle. I inherited a Anschutz Model 310 .22 cal. a few years back and would like to take my nephew out and practice with it.
However, I did not receive (or lost) the magazine for it.

It is a bolt action exactly as the one JackM described and attached a picture of.

I would appreciate any help regarding where I could get the associated magazine or one that may work in its place.

I´m new here, excuse me for my bad(very bad??) english! I´m from Bavaria and only learned english in school.
I found a rifle from Anschütz with C-I-L... on the barrel(it´s the right word??), it´s model 310, too. Nobody of my friends know something about "C-I-L". Is there any Website about this? Or can you give any informations about CIL??

@ winsett: Same problem, my magzine was lost. Just try some other mags from Anschütz. I found two from Model 1450 in 5- and 10-bullet design, fitting in Model 310. Very cheap, for each 3 Euro(i don´t know in dollar).

You could try the company that built them "ANSCHUTZ" the German people are noted for detail and record keeping. Maybe the factory has these records, it is a part of the companies history. The Canadian company has ceased making ammunition for at least 10 years and few companies keep records of stuff they don't make any more.
