Stevens is a Republican, not a Democrat -- this assures his seat will go to his Democrat challenger.

This will help them get 60 seats -- a filibuster-proof Senate, where they can pass any law they like.

    (D) MARK BEGICH gets an "A" from the nra based on his questionnaire. Doesn't that make you feel better? The ratings of Gun owners of America tend to be more honest and Begich gets a "D" from GOA.

    Blame goes to:

    1. the cowardly republican party in alaska who should have replaced stevens on the ballot because

    A. he was indicted,
    B. was a career politician who needed to be flushed anyway, and
    C. was likely going to be convicted (juries don't tend to acquit career politicians when they're charged with lying).

    2. Stevens himself for being a typical senator who is obsessed with staying in power. He brought this upon us, upon himself, and should have stepped aside. 84 freaking years old and this old corrupt creep gambled with our futures just because he wanted to stay in power :fire::fire::fire::fire:.
