    Merry Christmas.....the Antler Tree

After nearly 40 years of hunting you tend to accumulate antlers. Having filled a couple of trophy rooms I could never quite figure how to display the racks that didn't get mounted.....here's something I've had in the back of my mind for some time.

Cut a 8' length of tree and mounted it to a drum dolly, then filled the base with concrete for ballast and stability. Casters make it easy to roll around for cleaning. Plan to paint and add plant foliage to the base.

Maybe I'll add a few lights for Christmas decorations.....(heehee)

Neat idea. I think it'll make a great conversation piece, if nothing else.

You need something on or near the top of the two forks ...(kind of like the "star" at the top of the tree)... maybe a mounted squirrel holding an acorn, a mounted bird, like a duck or a pheasant, or some foliage.... or maybe your favorite hunting cap... one in hunter's orange & one in camo.
    I like it

I have an attached and finished garage with the front wall filled with skull mounts and shed antlers. My wife calls it the Bonehead wall.
I like the antler tree. my wife would hate it.

That looks most excellent in the trophy room!

I love that mount with the tusks and red eyes, you've got a good sense of humor.
