Any cast bullet shooters here

I'm divorcing her end of story ....
Not the first marriage broken up over fried chicken. :(
@savagelover just a quick reminder to post your molds on the for sale/trade forum. It’s easy to forget and just post where you hang out.
I gave up casting my own a long time ago because I just didn’t really enjoy it. Too much like work. And my living situation changed making it near impossible. I sold all my casting stuff to one guy who was seriously into the game. Sold cheap, including a home built digital pot that actually worked well, but it sure made life easier. This was long before Al Gore created the internet and global warming. Always was suspicious about him inventing both of those phenomena. :scrutiny:
Anyway, good luck and hope someone gets your old stuff who really needs it.

Did someone say molds for sale? I like molds.

I got a bunch like 7-8 years ago and they were cheap like $10 for 50 for 3006 sized 20 rounds. Last I seen them maybe 3-4 years ago they were super pricy, like 50¢ cheaper each then mtm/plano plastic boxes.
I like having them. My ranges don’t care but I have been to places that frown in reloaded ammo. Don’t ask don’t tell. I make a label that looks like a factory box.

What's up with that rule?
my guess is they sell your brass, guy walks around like every 5 minutes with a broom to sweep the brass into the troft in front of the firing line. I made a joke last time there they should invest in a barn cleaner and the guy didn't know what that was and after explaining what it was I think he wanted one lol.

So can you keep the brass if it doesn't hit the ground? What's it cost to shoot there?[/QUOTE

Ya if you police your brass quick from the bench you can keep it, it's a short indoor I used to go with my brother when he had to do his mandatory shooting quota for the hear. I never paid but think it was like $20/hour. Pretty much all indoor ranges here if your brass goes into no man's land past the firing line your never getting that brass even if there's a Ceasefire.

I have heard of that but never experienced it. My range gives me boxes brass as they know what I shoot. Came home with 100 .38 Special last week. They are happy to be rid of it.

Savagelover, thank you for starting this discussion. I do not do cast bullets, and the only thing I know about them is what is listed in every Lyman reloading handbook I have. Had no idea about different color bullets. What a stitch, but what a way to segregate your loads by bullet weight, powder type and charge weight, etc. Very neat.
How does one get to the sell/trade forum on THR? Since I do more reading of the posts, along with adding a few likes and a few replies, I didn't know there was such a place. I am more familiar with Gunbroker for buy and sell, but THR might be the better place, especially where reloading components are concerned.
