Is the G33 any good. I've never shot a GLOCK that small and was wondering about how the 357 round performed from it. Is the recoil extreme? I used to own G31 and G32, but I need something smaller.

When I can carry, which is not too often, nine times out of ten it is one of my G33s. I run 20lb recoil springs in mine. Great little pistol.

I pick up my third G33, one with an OD frame, at the end of this coming week.

G33

I would not call it extreme. It has a straight back push as opposed to a twisting feel of a G27 .40 in the same frame. (you can use a G27 .40 barrel in it too and use the same mags)

I prefer the .357 push over the twist, but follow up shots are not quite as easy as a 9mm (G26). Many chrono tests I see show a loss of about 50-70 fps per inch of barrel compared to the larger framed pistols.

I really like the Sig cartridge, but ammo cost is an issue if you do not reload.
In such a short barrel, I guess you can get close to this if you use +p+ 9mm ammo. Now if you put the Sig round in a 5" barrel, that is another story with Doubletap ammo. ;)

I shot a Glock 32 and 33 once, and I was extremely impressed.

Sure you can tell the round has a little bite, but the recoil is not that bad.

What really got me was how accurate the round was in these two guns.

I would have one right now if ammo was cheap and easily obtainable. I'm cheap when it comes to ammo and like the ability to walk into a sporting goods store and pick up ammo. For this reason I mostly shoot 9mm's.

I may just have to pick up a G32 or G33 to go along with my Sig P239 in .357SIG. Seems to be a helluva potent little package.
