With old Colt's like that you have to be VERY specific as to configuration and condition. Then you need to know if it's original and that usually entails a factory letter. Could be worth $1000, could be worth $20,000.

The serial number dates it to 1905. The value depends on if it is in "all original and unmodified" condition or not, and the amount of finish that's left. Making an estimate would require more information and some clear photographs.

A factory historical letter will tell you what the original caliber, barrel length and finish were, as well as the shipping date and to what distributor or dealer. They do not however offer any estimates of value.

Generally speaking, First Generation Colts go for around $3,000. Less if in poor condition, buggered up, not all original, and so on. More if in fine condition and chambered for a relatively a rare cartridge.
