Ive seen a few different muzzle brakes at sksman.com, one says it is specifically made for the Yugo, and the others do not specify which sks they fit on. Does anyone know what my best bet is? Im picking up my Yugo in 7 days (thank you 10 day waiting period) and I want to order the brake and a stock before I get the rifle. Thanks in advance.

Yugo SKS's (and I assume you mean the M59/66 model) do not have muzzle brakes. They have sleeves which allow the firing of NATO standard rifle grenades. I've never seen these for sale anywhere, since the only place that M59/66s are sold without them is in Kalifornistan, and putting them back on would be illegal, since these 'launchers' are considered to be 'destructive devices' by the Kal DoJ.

Yugo M59s do not have muzzle brakes.

What this company might be offering is a muzzle brake designed for use on an M59/66 that has had the GL removed.

    Thanks

Ive read on sksman.com that you have to remove part of the GL to install what they referred to as a muzzle brake. I checked the DOJ CA website and it says muzzle brakes are legal. Do you think that it would be worth all the trouble to install one of those things?
