have had mine for about two weeks; with three range trips and quite abit of dry firing(snap caps), i'm very pleased with this gun. most concentration has been on break in and familiarity with DAO. all shots so far have been reloads of varying brass-no problems. this is an October '10 gun "new frame"(hopefully all bugs are out). when this PA weather warms alittle, i'll try factory ammo. for now, i'll continue therapeutic plinking. anyone else find some joy with this gun?
 
I'm a big fan of the concept.

I like the serial numbered fire control group, coupled with the ability to change size and caliber. With the caliber x-change kits being $375.00 I'm not sure where all this business about not saving money is coming from...

I also like the idea of training with the same trigger on every single gun you own in every caliber (assuming you use the p250 that way).

I wish it was DA/SA.

If I were in the market for another gun, and it is was DA/SA I would consider it.
 
I love mine so far! I've had it about six months now....no problems to report at all. I don't have any big plans to switch out frames or caliber so it will stay a dedicated 9mm platform. The reason I bought it was the price...new for $345.00 at the Village Gun Store in Whitefield NH. I carry a P-220 for duty and I'm generally a big Sig fan (but I own others as well). It seems to be a "bare bones" sidearm and I haven't had extensive range time on it yet, but it shoots true and smoothly. It conceals easily and I'm a fan of the DAO concept too. I often ready it for my bedside/home use and I like the mag capacity too (15+1). My overall impression is that it's a "working man's sidearm". What I mean by this is that it isn't pretty, no real bells and whistles, no big mystery about it, but it's grown on me and I really like the simplicity of it. I just wish the profile of it was a little thinner.

I have sidearms that I baby because I want to preserve the finish, value, "look" of it, etc. but this would likely be my "go-to gun". I'm not afraid to knock this one around, ding it up, bash it around during range time or whatever I can throw at it. Very reliable so far!!

mines a p250 sc 9mm, and though i don't throw it around, it does appear rugged, very simple, and accurate.
 
More of them are moving now that the 2nd Gen pistols are the norm and they have been priced at under $450 OTD. Many are now sub $400 pistols. Lots of people who are not enthusiast are not aware of the early issues and see a $450 Sig and they jump on it. It is my understanding that the P250s in 45 which are still priced above $550 are not moving. I think Sig realized that the polymer market is a sub $500 market when you are the new kid on the block. The recent ATF pistol trials and the elimination of the Sig P250 also did not help the P250s rep.

I personally owned a Gen 1 and would not buy another. The trigger is only fair and there are other better polymers on the market. IMO
