I'm in the market for my first CCW pistol and the Bersa Thunder UC 45 is calling to me. I'm not sold on it completely yet, as i haven't got to handle one, but thought I would ask any owners of this gun if their are any notable Cons to be aware of? I'm not looking for recommendations for other pistols or calibers, just interested in your thoughts on this particular model.

Since I can't find any pistols in stock, I figured I can at least research them until I am blue in the face.

I've had a Bersa Thunder Pro UC .45 for a couple of years, and I have not had any issues ..
I have the 2 tone, with the Nickel slide.
It is a good shooter, and actually has mild recoil for a smaller 45.
People DO say the Bersa finishes in general may be sub par, but I have had no peeling, or other finish problems.
Looks like a baby 1911, ( kinda) and I have been very satisfied with it. :)
And, great price for it...believe I paid right at 420.00, including tax, etc.
Check it out, do your research-you will be pleasantly surprised!

Mine is an older UC45 in Stainless. I spent many years with free ammo running base ranges and it has had tens of thousands of rounds thru it. I have never had a single failure or issue of any sort.

The Bersa Thunder is based heavily on the Walther P88, which was one of the best semi-automatic pistols ever made, so take that for what it's worth.

Thanks for the feedback everybody. It seems like once I can get my hands on one to make sure it fits my mitts I will probably be picking one of these up. Sounds like the pistol I am looking for.
