Any reason to get a Baer frame/slide over a Caspian one?

I'm thinking about having a custom stainless steel CCO style gun done. Is there any reason I should consider buying a Stinger frame and slide from Baer instead of buying an Officer frame and Commander slide from Caspian? Price difference is $400.

I am acquainted with someone who makes highend 1911s for Bullseye competion. He used nothing but Les Baer frames and slides for years. Now he is using Caspian.

My acquaintance aside, one must remove a lot more metal from LB than from a Caspian slide/frame to make it fit right.

That said, Les Baer Super Tac is the best gun that I have ever owned or handled, but I did not have to smith a pile of parts to get it or wait a year for frames to be shipped.

You will not regret caspian parts. Do not listen to internet chatter about cast vs. forged. Cast caspian frames are better than anything colt has made since 1946.
