Folks, I have a Yugoslavian 59/66 SKS on which I have tried the Leapers receiver cover scope mount, and am not satisfied with the results. Has anyone tried the Choate scope mount, and if so, are you willing to share your results? I am concerned about needing some sort of brass deflector( and where I might obtain it), and about being able to load via stripper clips, and would appreciate any insight and suggestions about putting on a RELIABLE scope mount vs. the receiver cover mounts that I have tried. I'm thinking about using a short 6x scope with it. Thanks so much in advance!
