    Hi guys,
I just recently purchased a few early swords.
A couple of them have me stumped.
Anyone here know that kind of stuff ?
    Any help would be great.
I have one that looks to be an early United States Marines Sword with a GMS Solingen makers mark. It has a 13 star US flag amongst all the other engraving along the blade if that helps.
I can't find anything on GMS.
Can anyone tell me what GMS stands for in the world of Sword makers ?

    Thanks for any help.

I'll get some pics up when the sun comes up around here.
It's still dark around here right now.

    Thanks, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

Forgive me if you know this already, but:

Whatever you do, DO NOT CLEAN THEM this can greatly reduce their value.

    +1 to getting them appraised
