I have 2 cz75bs and neither of them has a good lockup, and neither consistantly hits a paper plate at 25 yards. Not 10/10.
There seems to be no rhyme or reason, as they are accurate enough at 10-15 yards.
I do all my practicing at 7 yards with my CZs or my smith 5904, all of which really suck in the long range accuracy department.
The outside diameter of the barrel of the one I checked is horribly out of round, and where it meets the slide, lockup has anywhere from .002 to .004 slop in the fit.
I think a bar-sto barrel would help, but I hesitate to spend $200.00 on a new barrel for a $400.00 gun.
Is it something that CZ should make right?
Should I bite the bullet, and buy the bar-sto barrel?
Or should I try electroless nickel the barrel and slide to make the lockup tighter? (It would still be out of round.)
Keep in mind that the slide "bushing" isn't perfectly round, either.
My other autos and revolvers have no problem getting nice 2"-3" groups on a paper plate at 25 yards.

I'm wondering how a pistol can be accurate up close and not accurate farther away? -bevr

Another thought could the .002 difference be in how you are holding your caliber?

If you have even a slight cant on that thing it could easily account for a few thousandths.

Please let me break into this CZ75 barrel thread to ask another question. Anyone know of any other match grade barrel manufacturers that make a replacement for the CZ75B? As far as Bar Sto goes several years ago I sent a CZ75B to Alpha Precision for a fitted Bar Sto. Jim waited for MONTHS for a barrel to arrive from Bar Sto. It never did and we finally gave up. I haven't purchased a barrel from them since then but always make sure Bar Sto has the barrel you want in stock before you purchase it or you may be in for a very long wait.

Is the accuracy good with the bar-sto?
Did you get it fitted, or semi-drop in?
Any other mods done to your cz?

CZF - You have a very nice website and I enjoyed browsing there but one question. You show pictures of factory CZ as well as Bar Sto barrels. The pic of the CZ75 SA barrel is different than the CZ75B barrel in regard to the lugs. My CZ75B SA barrel is identical to my CZ75B Mil Turk barrel. Is that an older model CZ75 SA or what?

ACTUAL GUN -- ACTUAL NOWLIN BARREL

My EAA 9x19 Witness has a Nowlin barrel, fit by Bob Cogan at www.apwcogan.com.
This combination is accurate (good ammo  ) beyond human capabilities.
Only change one might consider is a slightly 'SAAMI-ier' chamber dimension, for more reliability with reloads.

Since '95 or '96, sixty bizillion rds, flawless.........and mine :D

    AIN'T KNOCKIN' THE BIG B

Gotta Bar-Sto in my 45 ACP 1911 Caspian; only brand I'd use in a 1911.

    Just me.

    They are semi drop-in.

The BAr-Sto .357 SIG tube was quite wide in the barrel lug.
    Wouldn't fit in my .40 caliber 75SA. I don't have a
Gunsmith here....so i gave up the idea of a .357 CZIG.

Those with .40 caliber 75Bs report great sucess. The Bar-Sto
gives better lock-up, thus increased accuracy.

MY SA and CZ75 barrels seemed to be the same. The .40
went to a good home, and i bought a 97B, converted it.
Sadly, there are no plans for Bar-Sto to make any 10mm
    tubes for the 97B.

CZF, what ever happened with the Bar-Sto 357sig barrel for the CZ-40B? Did anything ever come out of that?

HI, for the CZ40B and the .357 SIG. He used my barrel for
measurements, then the project kinda fizzled out.

    If i didn't have a 10mm. i'd be on the .357 SIG bandwagon..
    a 75B in .40 with a Bar-Sto .357 tube!

Someday CZUB will offer a .357 SIG from the factory.
    Until then, there is Bar-Sto.

Oh, that's a drag. I guess he just didn't see a big market for it. That's a shame, the 40B probably would have been sweet in 357.

    Thanks anyway for trying!
