So I ordered my Christmas present to myself!!! From what I'm getting on the internet it seems RL17 is the preferred powder for 270 WSM. Has anyone here had good results from other powders for it?

If so how was your results? Velocity and accuracy wise.

Lots of different powders give good to great results in the .270 WSM. My first one started with Vihtavuori N-165 and Nosler 140 gr Accubonds. Good for 3100+ FPS and sub MOA groups. It also did well with IMR-4350, Reloder 19 and 22, Accurate 3100 and MagPro. My son had the original Model 70 Super Shadow rebarreled with a 27” Lilja and prefers Nosler 150 gr Ballistic Tips with Accurate MagPro at 3200 FPS. My current Model 70 Ultimate Shadow likes Reloder 17 with 130 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips loaded mildly at just over 3000 FPS. Will be trying some Ramshot Magnum just to see how it fares. These days you sort of take what you can get.

Yes exactly! That's why I'm asking, I was hoping something I have in hand would serve well. I have IMR 7828, H4831, RL19 and 22. Hoping I can squeeze around 3200 fps with good accuracy out with one if those

I've tried several powders with 150's and settled on Magpro for both accuracy and velocity. Rl17 was in that mix, along with both 4831's and IMR 4350.
