Hi Folks,

New to the forum here, thought I say Hi and ask a couple of questions.

I just picked up a new S&W 642 the other day (wanted to get back to my roots:)) for use as an alternative EDC gun. I've been CC'ing bottom feeders for the last 20+ yrs. and was looking for something a little lighter & smaller than my Kimber Compact C.D.P. II, which is my current EDC gun. Mainly for when clothing or, circumstances dictate.

But I ain't gettin any younger, I've had back surgery and still have back problems, and this little 642 is just sweet as honey to carry. It may very well become my EDC gun, so I want to get a good comfortable / functional IWB holster for it.

I've got a Milt Sparks and Gary Brommeland for my other guns, but the Crossbreed SuperTuck has recently cought my attention. Folks say they're comfortable, and you don't have to wait a lifetime to get one. In about all the reviews I could find on them most folks were of course using them with Semi-Auto's.

So, I was wondering if any of you fine folks here might be runnin' this combo, and if so, would care to elaborate a bit on any likes, dislikes etc. that you might have.

Appreciate any input you may have.

Thanks,

YB

I know you asked about the 642, but...

A few weeks back, I picked up a Ruger SP101 with a 3" barrel. I liked it so much that I bought a Crossbreed Super Tuck Deluxe for it.

It works great for the Ruger SP101, and it is a bit larger/longer/heavier than the 642.

With the Super Tuck, the SP101 disappears under a t-shirt, and the design of the holster spreads the weight out nicely.

I don't know about the Supertuck but I carry a j frame in a Tucker Gunleather Texas Heritage. It's iwb and is tuckable. I can highly recommend it.

.

For the price you have to get a Crossbreed. With the coupon code "NRA" you get 10% off. I think it's like $55. That's nothing in the holster world.

I had a Brommeland holster and it wasn't comfortable, being very small I'm sure that's part of it.

I love my Crossbreed and after I got mine, 2 of the guys I work with got them for under-cover work.

Appreciate the input Guys, thanks.

Usmarine,

Which model crossbreed did you get, and what are you carrying?

I agree, they seem like a heck of a value.

Thanks again gGuys,
