Hi All
I am thinking of ordering some bullets from Rocky Mountin Reloaders. Do you recommend paying the extra $3.00 or what ever for the shipping Insurance? Never ordered from them so I don't have an idea how secure there packing is.

Also if you have bought from them in the past what did you think of the bullets you got? Do they offer any sort of discount (Military or THR) I know there owner post on here from time to time.

Thanks
WB

He is good to go. Ordered from him several times. He packages them in the flat rate boxes from USPS. He also tapes up the boxes quite a bit. And yes, I would agree to the 3 dollar insurance. You just never know. I have seen some pics of other USPS packages that looked like they been thru heck.

He has pictures of the bullets hes selling and it is " what you see is what you get"
Never had a problem or was misled.

I've purchased some of his pulled 95 gr. JSP .380 bullets. The price was good and the shipping was fast. I would recommend him.

Hope this helps.

Fred

I too, had a great experience with RMR. As for the insurance ? I bought it. I've had horrible problems with the mail system before I'd even heard of RMR. Like any insurance, up to you whether to buy.... But much better to have and not need, than need and not have.

I always recommend the insurance. I just resent a $200 order for a guy that paid the $3 and the post office either lost it or stole it. That said, of the thousands of packages I have sent out only about ten or so that ended up completely missing. Most of the time the post office just breaks the box open in a way that also destroys the poly bags that I put the bullets into. Then you end up with some spilling out and you don't get your whole order.

My guess is those that dissapear end up looking something like this one. Luckily the shipping slip had my return address on it. If it didn't I would not have gotten these back. Don't ask me how they managed to do that to the shipping slip.

I bet the postal service loves you for stuffing 17# in the small flat rate box! Mine arrived a little beat up but the bullets looked ok. Thanks for the fast shipping too.

Two suggestions: Bag the bullets in the free Tyvek® envelopes offered at the post office.
The other thing I do is double box the Flat Rate boxes...placing one box inside another is a tight fit but it works.

The local post office loves me. In a town of about 600 people I am their biggest customer. Last year I bought about $20k worth of postage. This year it looks like its going to be at least double that. They do a great job here at the local post office. Once it leaves their hands there are probably plenty that complain though.

Another happy customer from him.
Ordered more than once and got exactly what was pictured an ordered.
Prices are right and worth it.

Never have had a problem with anything jake sent. They are packaged in plastic bags as well as well wrapped in tape. No I have never paid the $3.00 and never needed it.

Very good products for bulk bullets.
Jim

If anyone is curious, I have a 10% off coupon until July 20th. The coupon code is freedom

Normally I post a thread specifically for coupons, but THR does not allow that anymore so if you would like to get emails when I run a special you can sign up for the newsletter on the website. This is my favorite forum so I spend a lot of time on here usually every day. If you don't like the idea of getting my emails feel free to PM and let me know you would like to be notified when we have sales.

No one named Bryan here.
You can see from pic longdayjake posted what his name & address are.

By the way, to the OP, I've ordered from Jake several times.
I've been very happy with his company & his products.

I've bought from Jake several times and always received great product and service. Most of the pulled bullets I've ordered looked new and the ones that didn't were close enough.

Yep, another +1 for Jake. When I buy cast its from Missouri Bullet, when I buy jacketed I always check to see if Jake has them in stock. Two of the best people you can deal with, hands down.

Another +100 for Jake. He really is the best.

Given my recent dealing with a few others... Jake pretty much has my jacketed bullet business locked down.

You won't get CS and professionalism like this ANYWHERE else from a jacketed bullet vendor.

I cast now, so I don't buy lead bullets anymore... And it doesn't look like Mo Bullet is getting into jacketed anytime soon.

Thanks again Jake, RMR is zzzzz best !
