Anyone change their handgun sights?

I used a sight pusher to replace the sights on 3 Shields and one M&P 2.0.... I installed the Apex trigger on one of my Shields and the M&P 2.0, so the sights on those two where changed twice. I never had a problem. Were you both using the punch and mallet method. Stupid question, but did he looses the set screw as well?

He was using a brass punch. I was using my site pusher. Neither would budge the rear site. I guess it is feasible that he tweaked the dovetail a bit with the punch pinching the rear site in tighter. It was a couple years ago and all I remember was how pissed off he was at it and how much trouble I had with it too. I am pretty sure he tried using a heat gun too.

I liked his shield. He hated it! It would always impact up and to the left for him no matter what. That is why he decided to change the sites to adjustable sites (I think). It always shot true for me... I think it was just a case of not all guns are always going to fit all people.

I am looking to get night sights (Trijicon) for my Shield and SD9 VE. How many here replace their sights and go with night sights? I've researched and it seems these will last about 12-14 years.
Cannot imagine my Glock21 without the TruGlo now. Kinda want something for my Desert Eagle, but it's unlikely I'll need $200-$300 cash sinks on a range toy. Used a cheater bar to replace the sights on my old XD Mod 2 and had the pleasure of buying my buddy a brand new sight press. Haven't had any for 10 years, but the manufacturer lead me to believe it would only lose about half the illumination over the course of a decade. Wonder if I'll adapt to such a gradual change?
In the event of an encounter, one that could easily happen in low light, I most certainly want that extra bit of function just in case. The angled rear sight on the Tritium Pro (and maybe some others) functions well for racking the slide one handed, even on a kinda soft ottoman. Better to have it and not need it....
