Anyone familiar with the Kahr CW9??

I am looking at the Cw9. The price NIB is $440.I noticed the the other models are between $6-$700. Why is this model so much less???? It didnt feel any different than the others. How is reliablity compaired to the other models?

I have a CW40 reliability has been fine so far (200rds). I didn't like the grip as well as I thought I would. I paid $400 for mine. I think I'd rather have a pm9. I like to pocket carry and the grip is just a bit lokng for that on the cw models.

If I pocket carry it will be in my back pocket. I did want the smaller model but I didnt want/cant afford the extra $250. I will probly get me an IWB holster to carry at work.

Any suggestions for a holster????

I have a CW40, got it NIB for $360. With over 1,000 rounds, I haven't had one problem with it. 100% reliable. I carry it IWB with a high noon 'bare asset' holster. Good deal at around $30.

yep, Ive had my CW9 for a lil over a year. about 3,000 rds thru it. great gun, accurate, reliable ime, all it is advertised to be.
but I got mine NIB for $415... so you might take some time in shopping around.

Its a great gun, Ill dig up a pic for ya... tho you have allready seen one...lol

Also check out a taurus PT111 Millenium Pro.. its about $100 bucks less, touch thicker, +5 on capacity, polished chrome feedramp and chamber... 5,000rds thru this with no issues.

both are great guns... but if you get the kahr, do yerself a favor and polish upp the feed ramp. seriously...

either of them will serve you well, and both fit a similar hand quite well.. both are verry ballanced when loaded, keep that in mind when handeling an empty pistol at the store..

Ill try and get them pics up in a bit, Kahr next to the Taurus.

I have taken the slip-on grips of the kahr, and decided to keep them off the taurus aswell. shirts like to hang up on the grips, and the grip will twist under rapid fire... so Ive opted not to use it on either...

again, both are great guns.

The reason that the CW is so much cheaper is that it's the budget/entry level product. Expect a much less refined finish and attention to cosmetic details. Also expect to spend $35-40 for a spare magazine.

I have had a CW 9 for over a year. I had some feeding problems until I ran about 200 rounds through it and no problems since. I am happy with the pistol considering what I paid for it. It is an entry level product. I carry it in a DeSantis Scorpion IWB holster. The barrel is just too long for me to use as a pocket gun. I would prefer the PM9 or 40 except for the cost.

I've had a Kahr CW-9 for 'bout six months now, and have fired approximately
200 rounds of assorted 9m/m ammo thru it with NO stoppages at all. Makes
for a great CCW piece, as its both reliable and accurate; not to mention its
economical~!

FWIW I love my Kahr and trust it 100%. I have carried it for a while now, and if my wife doesn't fall in love with the soon-to-be-my SIG P239 she will carry the Kahr. I understand the CW9 does not suffer from the peening issue that most of the other polymer Kahrs do. You can also shoot lead through it due to traditional rifling as opposed to polygonal.

I have one of these and just sold my PT-145 to get me a Kahr. The PTs are great guns but the PT-111 is hers and te PT-145 was just to bulky to have on me in my line of work. I have to crawl around on the ground and such off and on all day.
