Wakeup call, Bubba...

Next time you run a cover-story about a piston-opped AR-replacement rifle, take pictures that show something OTHER THAN all the neato tacticrap that you can bolt onto it?

Like, doh, maybe how it functions?

I mean, they had pictures of what looked basically like a tacticrapped AR-15...

I know what the rails are. I know how they function. I know they basically mean that if I shoot one of the things, I wanna wear gloves. Big deal.

All SN is is a classified ads section anyway, so why should we expect to be educated, too? I don't waste my time reading their articles, I simply want to find the best deals on guns, ammo & accessories. I figured the articles (if you can call 'em that) were a losing proposition after the first couple I read, and haven't wasted any more time with 'em...

And now they seem to be trying to go the mainstream '1911s & Ammo' route with the glossy paper and high prices. The day I start paying $6.95 for a SN, special or otherwise, ain't happening. I can almost buy 2 real gun rags for that.

I've been into guns for years, and never bothered to read a SN. PIcked up the April issue, and saw all the cheap goodies to be had in the back, and ordered an AK out of the SARCO, NJ section! (one of those cool side folders that come with the black furniture, etc.)
