I ordered my Savage 10FP through Walmart, but they're back ordered. Is anyone aware of anyone who has them in stock? New in box only, please.

Thanks for the idea, unfortunately there's no Cabelas around here. :( Hmmm.... better give Bass Pro Shops a call... there's one in Orlando. :)

You might check with old WildAlaska at Wild Alaska guns.
He could probably get ya one shipped right to your FFL pretty quick.

Why not check the Savage website Dealer Finder under customer support for a dealer near you? :scrutiny:

Or, better yet, click on the "buy Now" link on the 10FP page and follow the links... will tell you who has one in your area... :neener:

I called the Savage dealers in the area but no one had the rifle in stock. I'll have to try the 'buy now' link, but unfortunately I can't get to their site from work. Anyone willing to click it, see if anyone comes up, and email me the info? :D

    Falconeer,
If you haven't ordered yet check www.thegunsource.com as they seem to have a large inventory and very good prices.

You're welcome, Falconeer. I had to make a guess at which zip code is nearest Lakeland, FL. I don't think it mattered much. I hope your Savage will shoot as well as I hope my future Savage will shoot.

Alrighty! I believe I've found someone who has them in stock. Not locally, but if everything goes as planned it's going to end up being cheaper than Wallyworld even with shipping & FFL. :p Once again, thanks for everyone's help! I very much appreciate it!

I ordered one last December. It was $489 and took about a week to get in. I'm very happy with it. :D

Hmmm well I found one for $458 shipped, seems like a pretty good price. Now just trying to get the funds together.

Wallyworld shipped it in even after I canceled the order. The other place I was going to order it from, who 'had it in stock' hadn't shipped it after a week. So I went with Wallyworld. Paid $494 + tax.

Perhaps a dumb question, but that model says "Law Enforcement" series. Can regular civilians purchase a Savage 10FP?

^Yes, a civilian can buy it?

I'm asking because I am impressed with the specs (especially the 8.5 lb weight and bull barrel). I might order one tomorrow, if its a model that is CA legal.
