Has anyone heard of Radical Firearms and specifically, their 10/22 clone the call the RF-22? It looks like they have their own barrel and upper receiver, but use a Ruger BX-Trigger. Also uses a Hogue Overmold stock.

The only thing that seems interesting is the integral picatinny rail, rather than Ruger and having to screw a scope base on, which is problematic in aluminum [sometimes if you're not careful].

Anyway, thoughts? Looks like they run ~$400

They weren't known for their quality control a few years ago. I don't know if they have improved or not. I bough a 10.5 complete AR upper from them about 5 years ago and the barrel was junk, it patterned like a shotgun at 50 yards. They also had issues with the barrel extensions coming loose on their AR barrels back then too. All I will say is do your diligent homework before buying.

I have one of their .300 Blackout AR uppers. It has run fine but I've only put a few dozen rounds through it (I've taken it hunting twice but got no shots).

Honestly if I was going to go the 10/22 route I'd buy Ruger if you wanted to just buy one and use it as is. My 10/22 certainly has never had any issues with the pic rail. If you want to build one from the ground up, Brownells sells the BRN-22 10/22 receiver with an integrated rail for $99.

At that price range for 10/22 compatible clone, I would suggest you check out Thompson Center T/CR22 (MSRP $399) that has enhanced/accurized components and last round bolt hold open magazine

T/CR22 has picatiny rail that is solid part of the receiver with ghost ring fiber optic sight.

I am currently conducting 50 yard accuracy testing with new T/CR22 and various ammunition while capturing 10 shot groups -https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...mmo-comparison-break-in.864241/#post-11980400

FYI, my 3000 round 10/22 testing out of the box while capturing 10 shot groups at 25/50 yards with various ammunition - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...rrel-ruger-10-22-collector-3-break-in.859106/

LiveLife, I actually have one of those T/CR22 rifles. It shoots very well, even with the only round I'm running in it, CCI Velocitors. I can peg rocks at the 100 yard berm very well [it has a 1-8 Vortex]. At 50 yards, I can get close to 1" group.

But I was just looking to get another "bench gun". I really don't need one since my current 10/22 does a great job at that. I'm just bored, I guess, and wanting "new toys",....but probably shouldn't go with a third 10/22 type anyway.

As for Radical Arms, thanks for the input, guys. I'll pass on these.
