Anyone help identify this Old Remington?

    Any ideas. It's a Remington is all thats known.
    Someone said maybe a 186?'s Zouve,,, maybe.
    Any ideas?

    During the 19th century Remington made barrels for the trade, and many small gunsmiths bought them. I suspect that this rifle was most likely built somewhere in the northeast or midwest by an individual gunsmith using a purchased lock and a Remington barrel. It was probably made during the 1840's through the 1860's.
