No to all your questions; but your inquiry made wonder where I had seen one of these in print. Finally found it tonight while looking for something else. In the 1987 edition of Guns Annual, there is a one page story on Clint Eastwood's "Baby" Auto Mag. According to the article, Harry Sanford adapted the AMT Lightning .22 pistol into a mini Auto Mag, and presented the first one, serial number CLINT 1, to Clint Eastwood in December of 1986. It had an 8 1/2" vent rib barrel and came in a lined walnut presentation case. And as you previously stated, the production run was limited to 1,000 cased pistols.
