Or percussion doubles at a decent price, seems double barrels of any kind are getting real expensive.
I'm pretty sure it has to load from the muzzle to be legal. Check you game and fish dept.I was thinking of using my sharps 45/70 with black powder cartridges but do not really know if it qualifies as black powder because of the primers. Anyway was just thinking of it as a way to prolong the hunting season.

I'm down in the bootheel area, and pretty much have the woods to myself during alternative season. The Missouri ML season has evolved into what is called “Alternative Methods”; from front loaders only to now centerfire pistols (to now even technically including AR “pistols”). So the sanctity of ML deer hunting has been bastardized into other approaches (for the good of all I guess). The ongoing upside of this season is that this hunting population is only about 10% of the “big” center fire rifle season - still remains relatively quiet and uncrowded - I remain loyal to using a ML.
Hey brother I'm from and live in the Blue Ridge Parkway, how about you? I would love to see a man bag a deer with a lemat. It's definitely possible! Practice makes perfect!I'm definitely gonna try to make blackpowder season in NC this year with my LeMat.
Piedmont area. If I get one I'll definitely let y'all know. I intend to do a bunch of practice to make sure I'm aiming minute-of-deer.Hey brother I'm from and live in the Blue Ridge Parkway, how about you? I would love to see a man bag a deer with a lemat.
