I got a shipping notice for 10 boxes of 9mm today
Anyone on backorder for Cabelas?

From the discussions I've had with Cabela's, they only get an estimated ship date from the Mfr., and it usually slips from there.
But at least, they don't hit your card until they ship, and they will ship each item separately as they get them regardless of what you paid for shipping.
With Midway (I buy from them and like them too), but they ship all items together. So if you order an item on the shelf along with a backordered item, they hold the shipment until they get the backorderd item. Saves them shipping cost, but not as customer oriented as Cabela's.
To show you how short items are, I put in an email Reminder Notice for some brass with Midway. I got the notice today that the brass came in. When I called 2 minutes later, they said all the received brass had already been shipped. So if you want something, place the order so that you will be queued in line when it arrives - first in, first out!

I have had 1K small pistol and 1K small rifle primers on order since late February, also some Sierra .224 bullets.
Constant updates pushed the date back into late May.
Now I had to call them as they were on backorder so long, the order risked being cancelled.
I confirmed that yes, I want those little buggers. Latest update is June 20th.
Suurrrre.
I placed an order with Grafs consisting of other primers and some powder, sounds like it may be in and ready to ship. Placed that order in early April.
That's much better, in my book.

Midway ships in stock items immediately and backordered items when they come in. They charge a separate shipping charge for backordered items

Small pistol primers apparently showed up this week at Cabelas.
My order was just shipped. Order originally placed in late February.

Just got another email from Cabella's today that my April 3 order for small pistol and small rifle primers was delayed AGAIN now end of June...so they say this time.
Is anyone getting these from Cabella's?
What's been the waiting time at the other major sites?

I got one today as well.
The Cabelas thing is interesting because I'm starting to see local shops getting primers in here and there. Not huge amounts but they are coming in. If the small shops are getting some, you would think the large outfits like Cabelas or Powder Valley would be also and filling orders. Maybe they are, but we aren't hearing about them here.

No primers yet but I did get my set of 380 dies today. I ordered them the middle of March. But like ya'll, the primers just keep getting pushed back.

They must be on an email terror because I got another email this morning stating basically the same thing about the backorder that I got yesterday. This email asked if you don't want your order to please call and cancel. Same date of 6-30 though.

Same here. ordered 4-24. expected delivery currently 6-30. Regarding Midway USA, as stated above, they ship when an item is in stock. I emailed and told them they could hold items till all came in, they said no can do. Fortunately the reloading supplies I ordered should deliver tomorrow. Guess I have plenty of time to set up my press.
