Anyone order aS&W lately?

Just over year ago I ordered a S&W model 29 machine engraved and a model 57. I'm still waiting and there is no word when they will make them or ship them. what is S&W doing that they can't make a couple of revolvers?:confused:

Dunno what else is happening, but I can tell you when I visited the factory a few years ago there was only one engraver. No, he was not running a machine, he was hand engraving the old fashioned way. If there is still only one engraver, he is probably backed up pretty far.

To the OP: did you call and find out what is the story with your order? Not email, call and talk to someone.

P.S. Just checked the S&W website and there is a machine engraved option for the Model 29. But if it wuz me I would still call and find out what was up.
 
Tried calling a couple of times. Answering machine, left messages & PH. No return call.
 
joem, who were you trying to talk to?

Did you call 413-331-0852andtalk to customer service? If you are trying to talk to the guy that actually does the engraving, he probably has no idea who's gun is who's, or when your item will come up in his queue.
 
I don't think the guns have been made yet. No mod 57's are listed as available, same with the 29. Owen, Thanks for the number, I'll call tomorrow. Maybe it will do some good, maybe not.
