Anyone suggest a budget sight pusher?

Looks like some steel RHS (Rectangular Hollow Section - of course the rectangle is square in this instance) to me. The centre piece looks like it was laser-cut. A bit of grinding required on the thinner bit I see, usually is the case with small, pieces from thicker material, especially with thin shapes, the laser just gets it too hot and it melts too much. If you are going to get one made one, get whoever cuts the little piece to do it from stainless, use parameters on the laser for stainless / ally (use Nitrogen) or use a water-jet / machining, for a nicer finish. Of course the amount of dollars goes up with each suggestion there lol. No offense to the poster who made his own, not saying it looks shabby, if it works, then it really needs no improvement.

Gunnutery, I just used a piece of square tubing stock. I went to my local steel supplier and he cut off a 1 1/2" for me for like... 3 bucks IIRC. The "pusher" is just bar stock. I used a angle grinder to get it to the rough shape and then used a bench grinder to finish it off. It's not much different from the one that is being sold on "whats their name" Bay except I built mine beefy-er
.
Route 666, no lasers or high tech equip used here.... well maybe the drill press, if you want to call it high tech.

It does a great job. I used some thin cardboard to protect the slide sides while it was clamped in and used different thickness washers to shim it to the correct height. Yeah, I could have just bought one but I like to build and tinker and save a buck er two where I can. (which is used for more shooting stuff of course!)

So you cut the profile of the actual pusher piece on a drill-press? Cool! The tool marks look just like a piece that came out of a laser. It is a pretty ingenious design though!

Route 666, no I didn't use the drill press for cutting it. I used two different types of grinders to shape it by hand. Nothining anyone else could not do. I only used the D/P for drilling holes in the frame and pusher where needed.

As someone who doesn't have the tools and also added up the time to make one, I bought the eBay one and it works great. Not sure about yours being "beefier" as the eBay is quite heavy/solid. I've used it on 3 slides so far with great results, one set of night sights.

Moptop:

A very innovative design. Looks like it will work with SOME guns, and not with others, as you seem to have limited vertical adjustment options.

I have the UNI tool, mentioned above, and used it on my BHP, recently. Twisting was an issue, and you really have to crank that thing down tight to minimize the twist.

I haven't had much trouble with other guns (CZs, SIGs, etc.) It must be something about the narrowness of the BHP slide and the location of the rear dovetail -- so far to the rear that the device doesn't get a good grip on the slide.. (It grips the front and rear of the slide, and not the area where the pressure is being applied.)

The UNI sight comes in handy, but it doesn't work well for ALL guns.
