Anyone use any of the Blackhawk holsters?

I don't use either of the Blackhawk holsters you have listed, but I do use the Blackhawk CQC Serpa holsters. They conceal very well for being OWB, even on a small person like myself (5'9" 169 lbs). The retention mechanism is in just the right place to make a nice smooth draw without even thinking about it, and the gun is kept securely in place without the use of a thumbreak, which can increase your reaction time.

i don't have experience with either of those two holsters but i do have a serpa holster that i carry my xd's in and it is a great holster and is very secure but easy to draw from once you get it adjusted and practice a little. i carry mine alot, and i couldn't be more happy.

i do have exerience with a roto type holster it was one of the fobus, and it was a horrible holster, only good for the range and that is it. it would come loose or change postions on you out of no where and it wasn't concealable at all.

I have serpa cqc holsters for my glock 27, xd 40, and 5" sa trp. I give the holster 2 thumbs way up! I'm a big guy, but they all work fine with coats, sweatshirts, and any garments one would realistically wear while wearing an owb holster. The retention system is great- secure yet v v fast. I've actually done some running/diving around to test it and they work really well. For ~35$ I can't see any way a competing holster could be a better value (ie bladetech, fobus, galco etc...)

I use a SERPA, but for me, it totally sucks for concealment. Sticks way out. However, it is secure, and very fast. IWB conceals 100% better

I have one of the later Omega drop holsters. not concealible, but I like to wear it when I'm out with the friends on those shooting days. NOthing feels as tacti-cool as a drop-leg holster with a strap digging into your crotch.

cross the straps, top clips to bottom, bottom clips to top. more stable, less crotch rub....unless you like that kinda thing:rolleyes:

I just bought a Blackhawk IWB holster for my 1911 5". Before I had a chance to try it out, but after I got to work I noticed a small print on the side "Sig P228 P229"...OOPS! Wrong holster in box marked for Colt Government 5". I'll take it back tomorrow but the store said they didn't have another one in stock. I'll live but I really wanted one NOW! :D

Either way it looks like a solid, reliable holster. I will eventually get the correct version.
