Anyone use both the 618fa and the 918fa? Reviews needed

Im rocking back and forth on which to get, I hear the 918fa is too bright in the hall ways but wanted to get opinions on people that had it. I hear the 618fa is just right. Can someone help me out here?? thanks

125 Lumens is pretty darned bright, that's what's in the 918.

I can light up a target about 50 yards away with my 125 Lumen bulb in my AR light. It's like daylight indoors when I turn it on.

Just depends on if you want that much.

In my opinion 125 is where you begin to get the sort of "blinding effect" on an adversary if that is something you think would help.

So if you turn it on in your hall way or in a bed room does it seem to bright and or does it somewhat blind you? I hear it makes everything white, so white you cant see anything, "indoors"

The 918 will be brilliant indoors but even the 618 can have a blinding affect on the user. Anytime your eyes have become accustomed to darkness the affects from these high intensity lights will have a negative affect on you as well BUT, the good thing is you know what's coming and you're behind the light. Now, if you don't mind spending a bit more you can add the difuser covers (Beamshaper) which will lessen the intensity and helps broaden the flood a bit.

618FA will be good on out to approx. 50 yds. depending upon conditions while the 918FA will cover out to 80+ yds. if conditions are optimal.
