Anyone used Herters 9mm Recently from Bass Pro?

Lots of threads on Herters over the years.

I see Bass Pro selling Herters branded 9mm now. Has anyone tried any of this recently?

If so, did it seem consistent and decent for target use or did it refuse to group or what?? Thanks

Herters in many cases is made by Sellier and Belloit, they make good quality ammo. I've shot lots of S&B ammo and never any trouble.

It's ok ammo. I don't shoot for groups per say. Just like to get trigger time in. It always went bang. G19 and Ruger PCC has been flawless. Hope this helps.

Newer Herter's is not S&B. Since the Bass Pro absorption of Cabela's, internet forensics indicates a lot of it is Olin / Winchester production.

I ordered five boxes from Bass Pro a few hours ago and just got the cancellation notice. Even cases of 9 selling for close to 400 dollars are going fast.

I have a bunch in stock at home so I am fine for a while but I do hope it calms down at some point. Good luck to those looking!

I've tried to order several times over the past few days. I don't even get a cancellation email, I just put 4 boxes in and when I goto check out it will no longer available

Yeah, stuff is pretty crazy with online ammo ordering! I always tended to go to ammoseek and then link up to stores. But now it seems when something comes on ammoseek it is already close to out and even if you try ordering one minute after it is posted on ammoseek you are likely to miss out, unless the price is high and it sits there a bit. But any deals are gone faster than donuts at my breakfast table.

That's a deal period..back in the good old days, well 'old days' of about November last year, Herters 9mm was $8.99 for 50..$.18 per, $.20 per isn't 'bad'.

Had about 500 rounds, now about 300..never any problem..G26 and G17..

Yeah, definitely not S&B at this time. I was able to order 2 cases a couple months ago (in bizarre configurations- first time was 10 100 rd boxes, second time was 2 500 rd packs). Haven't shot any yet.
