Anyone using the Blackhawk retention holster for their S&W 642?

I'm thinking of getting the OWB version with the button on the side for open carry. I read in a review from a 642 owner that the holster meant for the J Frames doesn't actually fit the 642.

Also, anyone know of a similar holster for the Ruger SP101? It doesn't appear as though Blackhawk makes one for the Ruger.

I didn't have that particular holster, but I returned a different one to the store, after buying it for open-carrying a 642.

The problem? It stuck out too far from my belt. If I want to swing my arm way out over a revolver grip while I walk, I can carry a 629.

Definitely check that before buying it.

If it is any help, I carry a 442 in that holster when I want OWB concealed carry. It is rigid, doesn't carry particularly close to the body, but I use a dark colored shirt of sufficient length and it is just fine.
