Saw an episode about the history and current production of the Desert Eagle. It was pretty good and informative. Joe Montegna hosts it. I plan on watching more. Even one of Magnum Research workers said "unless you like hitting your hand with a hammer, the Desert Eagle in .50 AE is not a fun gun to shoot!"

I came across it a week or so ago when the did an episode about the CZ 75. I've watched a couple more episodes since. They're well done.

got a push and kick like the 45 and 40 cal combined
video time mark
10:30 one handed

I've DVR'd and watched this series since it first came out, but recently my wife who wants *all* the movie channels, reduced our "tier" to save money. Looked like all we had lost was a bunch of Spanish language and sports channels we never watched so it seemed like a great idea. Unfortunately for some reason the outdoor channels were only on this tier :(

I always enjoyed it. I don't understand why these outdoor channels are not on basic cable, they all have commercials (lots of them!), and you'd think NRA TV and the American Rifleman shows would want the maximum possible audience.

I have on occasion. Just watched the one on the "longrifle" and it was terrible. More slomo flintlock video than actual content. Probably showed four or so videos at least five times each. Good photography, though, especially the close up showing fire coming out of the flashhole.

It's a very good show and Joe Montegna does a great job hosting it, makes me very jealous with what he gets to shoot. I have a DE .50, it's not near as bad as the hammer quote would indicate

You kidding me--been on for 5+ Seasons now and one of the single best firearms documentaries I've ever seen (in terms of what's possible when condensed into thirty minute shows). Mantegna is a fervent 2A advocate which is his line of work is virtually unheard of...besides, he's a 1911 Guy so he's obviously intelligent ;). I have them all dvr'd but I wish they would release them on DVD.

More from Montegna, I can't wait to see it open, looking like late '19. I realy wish they'd get the armor museum at Ft Lee up and running

I like it as a actual show on guns. Leaves out the drama bs (like gunsmoke and sons of guns). Kahr arms has the DE eagle episode posted on their YouTube page.

Yeah I’ve been watching it since the beginning, overall it’s entertaining enough but the old gun myths are still circulated by the old timers.
