AR-15 magazines

I have all C-Products so far... not a problem with any of them. Price is good too.

I'll be trying Pmags next based on reviews here and over at ar15.com
 
I did have a weird malfunction with a C Products mag that they were never able to explain, but which they promptly replaced. I prefer 20s and have been buying and using the D&H teflon 20s with Magpul followers.

In the near future Magpul should have its 20 round PMAGs out (I'm guessing release might coincide with SHOT) and I know I'll be trying them.
 
I have 5 or 6 different brands. The HK feels the best to me, it's a little heavier though. I've heard alot of good about the Pmags too so I'll be trying them next.
 
I have mosly Okays, some NHMTG, one colt, a few BFIs, CProducts, and orlites.

All run great. Planning on getting a few more CProducts and a few PMags soon.

Orlites dont fit some lowers, and its not limited to BM. I think I had an RRA they wouldn't lock into as well.

Personally, I use CProducts with Magpul followers and Magpul Pmags.

CProducts magazines are not necessarily the best. They're widely available online and at local gun stores. This mass production and wide availability accounts for why a lot of people use these magazines. Nevertheless, I own 5 CProducts magazines each purchased months apart and have not had any issues.

I upgraded my CProducts magazines with Magpul followers. These followers prevent rounds from tilting inside the magazine and feed smoother than the green milspec followers. They cost around $3 per follower.

I highly recommend Magpul Pmags as well as most of the other Magpul products. Magpul makes stuff that's not only high quality, but also cool looking. As opposed to Heckler & Koch, Magpul prices are reasonable, so it's just feels good buying their stuff.

Magpul recently announced a recall of Pmags manufactured before July 2007. You can go to their web site and have your magazine body exchanged for a new magazine body. This is a free replacement and Magpul will pay for shipping in both directions.

This recall demonstrates their willingness to stand by their products.

i think i'll try a Pmag i curently use c products they have never lett me down
i've got a stainless c products mag on the way,read in theAR-15 volume2 you can run over them stand on them and they still work so i'm looking foward to the UPS guy pulling up outside!
 
D&H is the best by far. C-products is ok, but they aren't as smooth as the D&H which are true mil-spec, military contract magazines.
 
i use usgi mags, have used them at work and in the private sector out of the hundreads that i have had, maybe 2 have been bad, i have so many i just ditch em, or turn them in at work for new ones in the wrapper. i do plan to buy some pmags in the future, for personal use with my ar, in trainning courses and such.
 
I prefer 20 rounders, and they are all colts. I do have some Kay industry 30 rounders (and a few colts)
 
Lots of people carry them but I like to do business with Bravo Company, just because I've always had great service from him.

That's where I got mine, for exactly the same reason.
 
i too like the colt 20rd mags they are top of the line, the ones that i have are old and most date back to the vietnam era and i still have no issues with them. i also have some bushmaster 20rd mags that i have used, don't know who they are made by but they work good. i prefer the straight mags to the curved ones, andi rearely use the bushmaster mags anymore sincei got more colt mags.
 
Like many others here, I also prefer the 20 rounders. I have mostly Vietnam era Colt magazines; though many are not very pretty to look at, all are completely functional and reliable. It is interesting to note that while all are mil-issue, the Colt's interchange 5.56 and .223 on quite a few of the mag's base plate. I also have some Colt, Okay, and Kay Industries 30 rounders.
 
My brother lets me shoot his AR quite frequently. He has about 10 pmags and one aluminum mag that came with the gun. of all the jams hes had 90% have been with the one aluminum mag. The few errors with the pmags were because the rounds werent seated all the way back
 
Most of my mags are D&H and seem to work okay. I have some C-products mags that work well also. I have a few Tapco mags that have worked so far. Not sure who makes them though.

I got a couple of Pmags recently. They worked well on the first try or two. They look to be pretty solid mags.
 
I get whatever USGI mags I could get my hands on at that moment. Purchased used 20/30rd mags for 5 bucks.. which all were still in good working order. such as the followers/springs/ feed lips. Stick to USGI mags and you will be fine..

I have a bunch of USGI 20s, a few Brownells 30s, a few Brownells straight 20s and a few Brownells curved 20s. All of them work flawlessly but I rarely use the Brownell curved 20s just because they look strange.
