very nice -- good choice on the components. I don't know anything about that optic though.

My thoughts as well. That's a very solid rifle, but it needs an Aimpoint.

That's a nice list of parts. He should be real happy with that combination. I'm not sure of the optic, but at least he has a nice rifle and can upgrade the optic later if he likes it.

Get some lube on that BCG! hehe

Looks like you chose well -- a very nice group of parts. Are you going to post a range report?

Agreed!

RE: Stick to quality mags. I'd like to suggest (in case anybody who reads this doesn't already know what mags they like)

Magpul PMAG (anything but straight wall 20's)
Lancer L5 AWM
Legit USGI, especially NHMTG, and especially with magpul followers for the 30's (and especially NHMTG 20's)

And also agreed on lubing the bolt/carrier. It's so dry I almost can't stand to look at it, even if it's not being fired yet,k it just sees 'wrong'

Nice work. I agree an Aimpoint would be nice, but you hinted the buyer had a relatively tight budget. That Redfield should serve well for the time being.

It's not like that's the only thing that will be swapped out on that rifle over the course of its life! :D

If you don't mind me asking what did the customer pay for that without the optic.
