Just heard a rumor that AR pistols will become (or soon will be) an NFA weapon. Again, this is just a rumor I heard. What is the real deal about this, if anything?

    Nice sleep, Rip Van Palladan?

This is one of the possibilities when the bump stock ruling comes down....pay the tax stamp and register as an SBR.

Unless it’s a John Cornyn idea to help his buddy’s out, why wouldn’t the Dems (still in control) not just follow Trumps lead and make them illegal without any new laws, like bump stocks?

How about a link to any information or even the nick names of the gun shop conspiracy theory dudes?

    That's what it looks like.
The AFT 4999 work sheet looks like it makes every popular AR pistol sold for the last 8 years or so an SBR.

Pretty much exactly what it does. Defacto ban without having to ban anything.

It will be interesting to see what the final ruling looks like. It will also be interesting to see how much and in what ways it will be challenge in the courts. But until something concrete is released I will keep using my braced AR as I have been. It's good to stay aware of potential coming rulings from the ATF but I am not going to spend any time worrying about it until it becomes reality. No matter how this shakes out I feel there will be plenty of time once the actually ruling is presented to deal with it as needed.

And this topic has been discussed quite a bit here.

It is just a waiting game until any of us knows what the final ruling will be.

Well after the supremes ended the huge mistake known as "chevron deference", this should be dead.
But it looks like everyone is just ignoring the supreme court like it's 1832 again.

As we have discussed this at length, and there is as of yet no ruling, let's call it a day.
