Can someone point me to the threads about AR 15 Mags im looking at the AR stoner mags good bad otherwise?? Pat C.

I don't have any links but I do own some of the 30's marked ARStoner. They were made by Cproducts which also applies towards the 20 rounders. Cproducts have recently been bought out by other owners.

My Cproducts 20's are the strait bodied not curved.

My experience has been OK. Out of around 25 Cproduct mags I have had to fix 3 of them(2 30's & 1 20). Ruff/extra flashing internally at the spot welds. These caused the follower to bind up. I disassembled and used a file and have had zero problems since.

On other forums(ar15.com and m4carbine.net) there will also be mixed feelings on these mags. If you are getting a great deal on them. Somewere between $5-$8 I would say go ahead and buy some. If the price is $9 or above I would keep looking.
A friend has a few strait NHMTG 20's and has had zero problems.

I also own Pmag 30's and D and H 30's FWIW
I have bought from 44mag.com in the past and pricing is decent. Always look for deals, Google is your friend.

I have several C-Products Aluminum 20/30 Round Mag's w/ Non-Tilt Magpul Gen II Follower, Silicone Spring, Mar-Lube Finish & Tactipul which I purchased 4-5 years ago and have been trouble free.

Just bought a AR Stoner 5 rd mag. First round will awalys jam, the next 4 rds feed fine. I even tried shortening the spring but still has issues

If you're asking about the Stoner mags because you have a line on getting some cheap, I can't comment on them. If you are just in the market for mags, check out 44mag.com

I've had good luck with Magpul, D&H and NHMTG.

I have four 30rd Stoner mags I bought from Midway a few years ago. I upgraded the followers and I have not had any problems with them. I store them loaded and they are cycled several times a year. I use them in 3 different AR's.

AR Stoner are made by ASC on the old Cproducts machines. Aside from the controversial change in ownership, they work ok. They make mags for the 6.8, and work for that as reported on TOS.

D&H and quite a few others make mags, too, but the major buying emphasis these days from military contracts is the Pmag. The Marines use them pretty exclusively overseas, and the Brits are receiving the last of a one million unit order. That's the professional recommendation.
